Our VISION

Characterized by a depth of West Coast character and distinct cultural flavours, MIXT is a uniquely local and luxurious lobby lounge, located right here in Surrey. Exotic and elegant, our menu is artfully designed to satisfy your every desire, while offering an intimate and welcoming atmosphere for both business and pleasure. Using locally sourced ingredients and serving local wine and craft beer, MIXT celebrates community and shares what it means to be a West Coaster with the world.

Our Chefs

executive Chef Mark Grigg

As Executive Chef at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel, Chef Mark Grigg leads his team of culinary artists in the creation of diverse multicultural cuisines, inspired by a fusion of culinary classics and the local market. Committed to sustainability, Chef Mark has embraced the 100-mile diet, sources fair trade and sustainable food products from local vendors, and is a proud member of the Ocean Wise program through the Vancouver Aquarium.

Born in the Fraser Valley, Chef Mark has travelled the West Coast of Canada and the United States extensively, making him an expert on all things West Coast. Combining experience with his local roots, Chef Mark brings a skillful understanding of the diverse needs of today’s lifestyles and offers a menu that is not only delicious, but tailored to the modern diner.

Chef Aditya Alekar

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, and classically trained in traditional and contemporary methods, Chef Aditya Alekar adds a flavourful spin to every dish he creates—a reflection of his experience crafting Indian, French, Thai, and Mediterranean cuisine for patrons all over the world. Chef Aditya started his culinary career with the esteemed Taj Group in Mumbai in 2004, and in 2009, he had the honour of working at celebrity Chef Zack Bruell’s restaurant, Table 45, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland. From there, Chef Aditya continued his training at the luxury brand Auris Group of Hotels, in Dubai, before relocating to Canada.

Captivated by West Coast culture and the beauty of British Columbia, Chef Aditya now brings his global experience and passion for sourcing local ingredients to MIXT Lobby Lounge at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel, concocting exotic dishes and culinary delights for our diverse community.
